Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!
He faced all this for you, for you to be loved, blessed, glorified, exalted, satisfied, accepted, freed and resurrected.
S: “You prayed and believed your whole life. Never done anything wrong. And here you are. You’re the nicest person I know. I am the meanest, you have dementia, my life is… perfect. Explain that to me.”
M: “Sometimes the devil allows people to live a life free of trouble because he doesn’t want them turning to God. Your sin is like a jail cell except its all nice and comfy and there doesn’t seem to be any need to leave. The door is wide open. ‘Til one day, time runs out. And the cell door slams shut and suddenly it’s too late.”
God every day I screw up - in emotions, in actions, in thought. All these things run haywire and I eventually do something in the course of one small day that is against your will. Sometimes it’s me hurting myself, or me hurting someone else - but either way it’s in direct conflict with who you are and who you want me to be. So I thank you for your mercy and your love. Because I am royally screwed up but I know that you’re not finished with me yet. And for that I am truly grateful. May I grow with you each and every day so that I might know more of you Jesus, be more like you, so that you may smile down upon me and in the moments that I gave you all glory and honor and praise. Thank you.
