There is no joy without trust.

“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness’” (2 Corinthians 12:9a, NKJV)

We all go through seasons of difficulty and face storms in life. But during those times, we have to remember that Almighty God is greater than any struggle we face! He’ll take those challenges and use them to strengthen us, but we have to do our part and take a step of faith toward the victory.

Think about the caterpillar before it becomes a butterfly. When it’s wrapped in its dark cocoon on the backside of some tree, it doesn’t look like it has many options. But inside that cocoon as it becomes a butterfly, it doesn’t just sit and wait for someone to come and let it out. No, that butterfly knows that it has to make a move if it’s going to be set free to fly. In the same way, we have to do something to get out of the confining places we are in. We have to pray, we have to believe, and we have to press through to victory.

Today, no matter what you may be facing, remember His grace is sufficient for you. His strength is made perfect in you. He has given you everything you need to overcome in this life. Now is the time to break free and rise to new levels because He has victory and blessing prepared for you!

Our faith is sealed
Our hope is real
Come what may
We’re not afraid.

Love & The Outcome - He is With Us

Jesus you have won me
You’ve broken every chain with love and mercy
You have triumphed over death
And you are worthy of glory and praise.

Bethel Live - You Have Won Me

I am slowly learning that the way to joy is by having joy at other people’s successes, other people’s joy.

Support "Degeneration- Senior Thesis Installation" by Marla Jones ›

Hey all!

I would love your support for my senior thesis. The work will be a multi-media installation. It creates a 3D experience for an experience that is normally contained in the mind. This piece challenges the long-term effects of self-deprecating thoughts. Through looking at the downward spiral that happens when believing one lie about the origin of self-worth, it is easy to forget the truth.

The audience enters a tunnel made of black string. Tangled in the string is a paper with a handwritten lie. This connects with a red thread to another lie, and then to another two, and each of those connecting to multiple other lies. As the viewer progresses through the tunnel, the red starts to overtake the black and the lies become increasingly overwhelming and anxiety inducing. The viewer is then presented with a choice. They can turn back, run away and leave feeling overwhelmed and confused. But if they choose to press onward they come to an open space at the end of the tunnel. There is clarity, and relief, as well as truth about who they are, and where their worth comes from. They can leave with hope, knowing that they persevered.

I need about 480$, and the breakdown of costs is all explained in the video on the page! THANKS! *mwah!*

Check this girl out! She is a believer and she wants to get her project going!

Lord help me to be a good influence to all that I meet.

Let them see you.

Luke 1 - Mary’s Song.

When Mary finds out from the angel Gabriel that she will conceive and give birth to the most high, she accepts it without so much as a complaint. And when she goes to see Elizabeth, she glorifies the Lord in this beautiful song:

46 And Mary said:

“My soul glorifies the Lord
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49     for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
    holy is his name.
50 His mercy extends to those who fear him,
    from generation to generation.
51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
54 He has helped his servant Israel,
    remembering to be merciful
55 to Abraham and his descendants forever,
just as he promised our ancestors.”

And I am just so in awe of her. How much she praises the Lord without fail, accepts her call so easily. Trusts so heavily. I wish I was her because every day feels like a battle, every day feels like I am falling into oblivion and so I have to remind myself to praise God, remember his presence. But Mary doesn’t even blink. And it’s so beautiful. I hope I can be more like her.
